HOME ABOUT THE AUTHOR REVIEWS©2001 Lawrence
M. Levy |
First time novelist, Lawrence Levy, was born in 1947 and raised in the Bronx section of New York City. He graduated from CCNY in 1969 with a degree in English Literature. Setting aside the writing muse, Mr. Levy, has earned his living as a carpenter for more than 30 years, a proud member of Local 22, United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners since 1978. Endless carping, nagging and the occasional guilt trip from his mother, prompted Lawrence to finally begin his writing career in 1999. His debut novel, Indian Summer of Love, fruit of that encouragement, is a detailed character study drawn with rich humor, insightful storytelling and unflinching honesty. Currently he lives in San Francisco, California with wife, Teresa and his two daughters, Kristen and Greta.
